CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES

We serve children from newborn through fifth grade!

Under the leadership of Director, Robin Schlaegel, we are passionately committed to teaching
every child how much Jesus loves them and what it takes to follow Him.

Through each facet of our Children's Ministry we desire our children to have attitudes springing
from their hearts that express their love for God through singing, obeying God’s Word, praying,
praising Him, loving Him, loving others, and giving. 

         

Nursery
   When you place your baby in our nursery, be assured your loved one will be well cared for
   and will have a pleasant time.

   Flutter Bugs - Newborn to 12 Months
   Our Flutter Bug room is equipped with cribs, age-appropriate toys, bouncy seats,
   and more for your baby's use.  We ask a few things from you when placing your
   baby in our nursery:
          *  Be sure you have completed a registration form. Please sign-in each time. This will ensure
              you receive a vibrating pager. In the event we are unable to calm you baby after ten or
              fifteen minutes you will be paged.
          *  Please have your diaper bag clearly marked with your baby's name and filled with any
              supplies our volunteers may need to properly care for your baby. Diapers and snacks from
              your diaper bag will be exclusively used for your baby.
          *  It is very important for you to give our volunteer staff timely and specific instructions.
          *  We are germ-conscious! We request that if your baby is sick, or has been sick within the
              past forty-eight hours, please refrain from using our nursery. If our volunteers see that
              your baby is ill, you will be asked, respectfully, to not place your baby in the nursery.

    Lil' Hoppers - 13 Months - 24 Months
    Our Lil' Hoppers rooms is designed for toddlers. Children develop at different rates and some
    may not be ready to change classrooms at 13 or 24 months. We give age ranges for each
    nursery room; however, it is ultimately up to the toddler's parents to decide when it is best to
    move their child to the next room.  Lil' Hoppers will experience many activities:
           *  At the 9:00 am Sunday worship service, a lesson is taught to our Lil' Hoppers. This lesson
               includes an activity page and a take-home sheet for parents to help their child take their
               first steps getting to know Jesus. The same volunteer teaches each week ensuring your
               child sees a familiar face each time.
           *  We have a wide variety of age-appropriate toys and books available for our volunteers
               to play with and read to our Lil' Hoppers.
           *  Dairy-free and peanut-free snacks are provided for your child in this room.  
 
   Guppies - 2 Year Olds
   Our Guppies' room completely has your two-year old in mind:
           *  The Guppies "swim" with their Sunday school class to learn more about Jesus during the
               9:00 am Sunday worship service. A Bible lesson from age-specific curriculum is taught
               by the same teacher weekly. Take-home sheets are provided to help parents reinforce
               what was taught.
           *  Volunteers lead our Guppies in songs and playing musical instruments.
           *  Our Guppies enjoy coloring, playing with a wide range of toys, and enjoying a snack.
           *  Some two-year olds are being potty-trained. Our volunteers will work with you to
               facilitate this process. If your Guppy is in training, please take be sure to take him / her
               to the restroom before class time and let the volunteer know.

   Wild Kingdom - 3 Year Olds
   Our Wild Kingdom roars with excitement from our little tigers, lions, and monkeys on
   Sunday mornings!
          *  Sunday school is taught during the 9:00 am Sunday worship service. Our highly-dedicated
              teachers have been teaching this age group for seventeen years! During this class time
              your child will learn a Bible story and Bible verse, play musical instruments, sing songs,
              work on an activity sheet, complete a craft, and enjoy a tasty snack!
          *  Age-appropriate toys, books, games, puzzles, and movies are available for your child.
          *  During the 10:30 am Sunday worship service the Wild Kingdom and Guppies join each
              other for twice the fun!
          *  Parents are asked to tell our volunteers if your Wild Kingdom little one is potty training.

 Sunday school is held each Sunday morning at 9:00
   We have Sunday school classes for all ages including toddlers and fifth graders ... and all ages
in between. Our desire is to come alongside your family to help your children meet Jesus Christ
and to help your children grow into a deep relationship with Him.
   We offer a complete scope and sequenced curriculum which will systematically lead the children
through a comprehensive study of God's Holy Word. Our children will be introduced to the Old and
New Testaments, key men and women of the Bible, important geographic locations through
Scripture and basic Bible theology -- all of this with an added emphasis on daily application of
God's commandments and instructions.
    We are enthusiastically driven to see your child become a quality disciple of Jesus Christ ...
                                    to worship Christ ~ to know Jesus,
                                    to walk with Christ ~ to grow in personal relationship with Jesus,
                                    to serve Christ ~ and to imitate Jesus through attitude, loving, and giving.

Children's Church (Kids Own Worship) is held each Sunday morning at 10:30
   When children worship God amazing things happen!
   Children, ages four years old through third grade, are encouraged to attend their own
         worship service when they are dismissed from the 10:30 am Worship Service.
   Our children experience God's story in fresh, fun, and meaningful ways!
   Our children understand God's Word by doing hands-on fun things!
   Our children enjoy the adventurous journey of applying God's truth to their every day life!
   One of the many prayers we have for our children is for them to build "forever friendships"
         with Jesus!

KidsZone: Kids In Discipleship! Wednesday Evenings, 6:30 - 8:00  
   KidsZone evenings include: praising and worshiping God, Bible memorization, crafts,
games, and Bible truths creatively told and explained! Each high-energy evening is designed
to bring each child into a truer and deeper relationship with Jesus Christ with a strong
foundation on His Word.
